In memoriam

Two Baha'i friends passed on in the last couple of days.

One Imelda Gonzalez, the mother of some very dear friends - Mila and her brother Paúl - whose children I taught in children's classes. Imelda was always a very sweet, but stern grandmother, who loved having Baha'i activities at her home, and came to everything: children's class, youth group, fireside, ...the works. She will be missed.

Andrés Castro was raised in a Bahá'í family in Izalco, El Salvador has passed on. Andrés was 12 years old when he passed away due to illness on August 1st. He is remembrered for his high sense of service and broad friendship, he used to help bring children to the Baha'í children's class that took place at the Castro home.

O my God! O Thou forgiver of sins, bestower of gifts, dispeller of afflictions!
Verily, I beseech thee to forgive the sins of such as have abandoned the physical garment and have ascended to the spiritual world.
O my Lord! Purify them from trespasses, dispel their sorrows, and change their darkness into light. Cause them to enter the garden of happiness, cleanse them with the most pure water, and grant them to behold Thy splendors on the loftiest mount. ‘Abdu’l-Bahá
